Jersey RFC have reached the last four of the British & Irish Cup, and there are plans for this Sunday's semi-final to be streamed back to the Island.
After the 15-19 win at Bedford last Friday, our semi-final opponents were confirmed on Sunday when Yorkshire Carnegie registered an emphatic 50-3 win over Moseley. Carnegie against Jersey will be played at Headingley Carnegie on Sunday, March 20th, kick-off 3pm.
Having received the appropriate approvals to show the match, the semi-final will be screened exclusively live in the JRFC Clubhouse in an event that's open to all rugby supporters.
"We know it will be difficult for supporters to get to the north of England at short notice, and it's fantastic that we have been able to arrange this streaming in partnership with Channel TV," said Chairman Bill Dempsey. "There will be an admission charge, but we are not seeking to make a profit from the event, just to cover the costs."
The Clubhouse will open at 1.30pm and admission will be £5 for JRFC members and £10 for non-members. Under 18s will be admitted at the flat rate of £5. The bar will be open and there'll be the option to purchase a hot meal for an extra £5.
The event will be first-come-first-served, and non-refundable: to book your place, please email Sean Dunne, stating:
The details of the second semi-final were confirmed on Monday - London Welsh will host the Cornish Pirates on Saturday March 19th, kick-off 12.30pm.
